Dispatch from the Ranch: Biodynamic Pond Update + Retreat Announcement
Hello Friends,
This week, we began the construction of a project we’ve been planning for a few years: a biodynamic pond! Modeled after the natural pond culture in Europe, Red Clover’s pond is self-sustaining, chemical free, and uses native plants and pump filtration to purify the water.
Big-ticket dreams mature slowly. It takes patience (which I’m working on), tuning into your gut, openness to new ideas, willingness to change course when necessary, planning, and of course hard work. I’m grateful for the opportunity to practice all of these skills, and we are lucky to have experienced builders in this area which really sealed the deal for me. Shout out to Peaceful Falls. If you are interested in watching the progress, follow us on Instagram where I’ve been posting daily updates.
We have a retreat announcement as well! We are thrilled to welcome Paige Loczi to Red Clover Ranch for her offering Driftless Thresholds: A Fall Retreat For Rest, Ritual, and Renewal Oct 22-25th. Paige is an inspiring and inspired human. Joining her at Red Clover will be a beautiful way to tune in and move with the changing of the seasons and prepare for the quiet of winter. More information and a link to sign up is below.
There are many great retreats this season! They are filling up so please visit our website. We hope you can join us in the valley.
Celebrate the harvest and the changing of the seasons at Red Clover Ranch for Driftless Thresholds: A Fall Retreat For Rest, Ritual, and Renewal on Oct 22-25th with Paige Loczi. As autumn turns the land to gold and ember, we’ll gather to slow down, listen inward, and set our intentions for the coming season before we move toward a new year.
Come howl into the dark fall night and see yourself in the stars, connecting to your center and to the center of everything. Find stillness and silliness and softness and silence and frankness and beauty. As the seasons change, ask yourself what you want to change within you? Move your body, still your mind, open your heart, and walk yourself home. We’ll be right beside you walking, too.
Over four days we’ll weave yoga, meditation, and spacious rest with the elements of the ranch: fiery fall colors, hot sauna sessions, cold plunges in the biodynamic pond, and long exhale walks under the canopy of trees and undulating hills. We’ll share sustainable farm-to-table meals, lovingly prepared from local, seasonal ingredients, nourishing the body as we tend the heart.
