A SAMPLE Elopement - To Give you Some ideas…

  • Settle in after check-in with a welcome cocktail and appetizers. Catch up with your nearest and dearest while you sip seasonal cocktails/mocktails and nibble local cheeses, meats, housemade dips, and vegetables. Spend the evening reconnecting over wood-fired pizza and wine rehearsal dinner or local beer and end your first night playing bocce ball and badminton in the field, or sitting around the bonfire singing songs and roasting s’mores. Do a quick wedding rehearsal so you are ready to roll.

  • It’s ceremony day! Wake up to a delicious coffee and tea service with Wonderstate coffee and Rishi tea, then enjoy a leisurely farm-to-table mimosa breakfast on our screened-in porch surrounded by gorgeous nature. Spend your late morning taking a hike on our trails, doing yoga, relaxing, taking a sauna and rain shower cold plunge, receiving an onsite massage, getting dolled up, taking pictures, and preparing for your ceremony. Your guests can do any of the above or visit local attractions like antique stores and farmers markets, take a bike ride, or otherwise lounge in our hammock or play a game at the Ranch.

Your ceremony: whether it's in the barn loft or in the apple orchard, soak up every minute with intention and joy. Say your vows, share your kiss, eat an extraordinary farm-to-table meal, make toasts, and dance the evening away in our beautiful renovated barn loft. Or drink wine by the bonfire. Or have a talent show. Or play charades. Or all of the above. Why rush the magic?

  • Sleep in. Rest up. Amble down to the porch for fabulous brunch. Wear your bathrobe if you’d like. Take lots of photos, swing by the gift shop, and take your time. We’ll send you off around noon with our glasses raised.

FAQ’s

  • Less stop and chats, more deep connection. Traditional weddings are often relentless stressbombs that consume your life for months, happen in an overwhelming whirlwind, and are over in a few hours; they’re rushed, expensive, and a hazy blur. We think there’s a better way—a slower way—that’s intentional, tailored to your personality & interests, and centers the connection between you and your closest circle. Our standard package is 2 nights, but we’d love to have you a little longer—you can add a 3rd night at a discounted rate. More info on that below.

  • 3 days + 2 nights of bliss. A Red Clover Elopement means a full buyout of the Ranch + all meals with farm-to-table cuisine + onsite activities. It’s a weekend for the books. All you need is you (and love).

  • We love the nontraditional, and want you to have the particular dreams that make this special for you. Want to have a mini-parade? A talent show? Karaoke? A starlit movie night projected on the side of the barn? Costume Polaroid photobooth? A bonfire ceremony? Talk to us about it and we’ll help customize your elopement. This is for you and your friends, after all.

  • Absolutely! Head Chef Dani Lind will meet with you and collaborate on a farm-to-table menu that accommodates any dietary restrictions.

  • The Wisconsin Driftless is a cornucopia of small organic farms. As a matter of fact, we have one of the highest concentrations of organic farms in the United States. Fruits, veggies, flour, meat, dairy, mushrooms—we’ve got it all in the Driftless. Red Clover has deep relationships with local farmers and our meals are at least 90% sourced locally, organically. We will prepare the freshest in-season food for you and your guests and leave you feeling nourished and inspired.

  • As part of your Elopement Weekend package, you will have a 1-hour consultation with Chef Dani Lind to discuss your menu and in-season, organic food. If there is something particular you want for the reception outside of the package parameters, we can provide a quote for the additional cost.

  • Sorry, not this time. Due to our licensing, Red Clover provides the drinks. We offer a specially curated wine list and beer selection, as well as craft cocktails and mocktails that complement our menus. Inquire about our different alcohol packages for the weekend.

  • That’s up to you! Many guests travel for traditional weddings and expect to pay for their lodging and food. Many people would be happy to chip in, and we’re sure they’ll think it’s worth it.

  • Yes! We’re all for making it feel like it’s never going to end (three nights seems to add an extra bit of secret sauce). We also offer a discount for the 3rd night to encourage you to stay. Contact us for additional pricing information on adding an extra night.

  • Yep - it’s all yours! A Red Clover elopement is a total buyout of the Ranch for the weekend. You’ll have full access to all facilities and the dedicated attention of our staff.

  • Yes! The Ranch is yours—and you can say “I do” anywhere you want. Renovated barn loft? Check. Apple orchard with ridgetop views? Check. Lush field with stunning willows? We’ve got that too. We have flexible facilities and can accommodate both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Rain or shine, you’ll be covered.

  • Up to 19 guests can stay onsite, but we recommend 16 for optimal facility usage. Other guests (up to 25) can be accommodated for food and facility usage. There are a number of AirBnb’s and hotels nearby. We’re happy to provide recommendations.

  • We’ve got you covered! Red Clover provides the floral arrangements for the tables, bars, and bathrooms, as well as the wedding bouquet and bootanere for the couple. Just like our food, we have connections with local florists and flower growers and we strive to showcase the beauty of what’s in season in the Driftless.

  • Nope! We are experts at parties. We’ll help you plan and prepare all the details.

  • If you have someone, great! If not, we have two excellent officiants on staff who have officiated lots of weddings. We’ll be happy to get one of them dolled up for you.

  • Just a couple of items: a photographer, a DJ (if you want a dance party), your bar tab (other than our welcome cocktails; our hosted bar packages are custom-designed), an officiant, and any extra bouquets and/or boutonnieres.

  • Sadly, no. Animals are an important part of Red Clover Ranch. Although we don’t have any working animals, we’re home to a small menagerie of cats, dogs, and goats. Many of our animals are rescues, and we’re happy to give them a safe and loving home on our property. In order to not disturb their lives on the Ranch we ask that you make arrangements for all your furry family.

  • Handmade ceramic place settings, lace tablecloths, candlelit tables, restored ranch chairs—all gorgeous, memorable, and inspiring.

  • Red Clover has been carefully designed, and is already ready for you. That said, if you want to add a personal touch you’re welcome to do so on the tables.

  • You bet! You can arrive at 12:00pm the day of check in.
