Join Anna Argeropoulos of Moving Galaxy Yoga and Parisa Shirazi Chavoya of Parisa Yoga Shala for a Summer Solstice retreat designed to connect you to the land, to yourself, and to community. We’ll spend the weekend gathering our energy with yoga practices themed around the elements, grounding in presence through evening sound healing, restorative and nidra practices, welcoming in the kinetic high point of the solstice through shared ritual (especially Anna’s potent sauna rituals and storytelling), laughing, sharing in delicious meals, and receiving the time and space that we need to rest.
Mornings will begin with optional seated meditation and chanting, followed by an energizing practice before breakfast. Days will progress with flexibility and options to explore with small group excursions, bike rides, and swims, as well as space to pursue quiet time on the grounds of the ranch. Late afternoon will culminate in pre-dinner yoga practices designed to re-orient and presence us in preparation for the sweetness of meal time and the after-dinner magic time of sauna, sound healing, fire rituals and more.
Expect joy, depth and easy connection when you join us on this retreat. We can’t wait to welcome you in.
Guests, please note that this is a hosted retreat, and reservations must be made through the Retreat Leader Host. Anna Argeropoulos is the founder of The Moving Galaxy, a yoga and mindful movement space located in Milwaukee, WI. A practitioner of yoga since she was 8 years old, and a full-time yoga teacher for 20 years, Anna fell in love with the devotional and ritual practices of yoga at Laughing Lotus Yoga in New York City and was certified to teach in 2006 under the direction of Jasmine Tarkeshi and Dana Flynn. Anna is passionate about continuing her own movement education, and has trained and mentored hundreds of yoga teachers through her teacher training programs. Anna likes to call her classes multi-dimensional: beyond the yoga poses, her classes include exploration of philosophy, chanting, breathwork, and dynamic, creative meditative movement, as well as good playlists.
Parisa Shirazi Chavoya is a queer, Iranian-American yoga teacher and sound healing guide who has a passion for curating trauma-informed healing modalities. After working in high education and community organizations for 7 years, Parisa was called to pursuing work in the wellness field in 2022. The journey of deepening her own yoga practice has brought transformative change in her life. She considers it a great privilege to now be able to support others in this journey as they explore their mind, body, and spirit through accessible embodiment practices.
