Human Nature is a 3 night/4 day nature connection immersion led by certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide Gwen Ripp, of Intentionally Outdoors.
Together we will nourish ourselves by nurturing our intrinsic bond with the Earth and embarking on a sensory immersion designed to reconnect you with the natural world and, ultimately, with yourself. We will gather among the Driftless land where you will have the freedom to be with nature to find your own authentic human nature.
Human Nature is not simply a retreat it is an arrival home to your body and to the Earth. A return to our true essence as humans to be with nature, to nourish our bodies with the bounty of the land, to return love and care to the Earth and to create connections with other humans.
You do not need to have any experience with Forest Therapy to participate in this retreat. First-time participants are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join.
You will experience:
2 Guided Forest Therapy walks led by Gwen - mindful interactions with nature and opportunities to connect and share with the group.
Deep nourishment from the land through intentional meals created by the Red Clover’s Chef - Dani Lind. Truly some of the best seasonal farm to table food.
Somatic movement exploration - yoga and dance outside with the sunshine and fresh air.
Sharing and storytelling in a kind, welcoming and open community.
Guided journaling sessions, with a custom made journal provided for each guest.
A slow pace, moving with the rhythm of nature - Sitting under trees, laying in the grass, gathering around a fire, watching the clouds go by and epic star gazing.
Free time - There are so many ways to spend your time: sauna, rest, read, write, create, hike, or visit the swimming hole.

Hi, I’m Gwen, a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. My journey with nature started as a child, running barefoot on the grass, talking to the trees and tending to our family’s farm in central Wisconsin. As life took me from the countryside to the city, I lost touch with that deep connection. Despite a busy and productive life, I struggled with depression, anxiety, and various health issues.
Discovering Forest Therapy was transformative for me. It guided me in reconnecting deeply with nature and myself through mindful, sensory experiences, rekindling the relationship I once knew. My goal with Intentionally Outdoors is to share this practice with you, helping you nurture a richer connection with the natural world and experience the healing benefits it has to offer. Each walk is an opportunity to slow down, be present, and foster a sense of balance and connection. I invite you to join me in this journey of rediscovery and wellness, wherever you are on your path.
It has been a joy planning this retreat experience for you. This immersion is the opportunity to center yourself, slow down and sync with the rhythm of nature. To invite in the possibilities of awe, deep connection and rest. Red Clover Ranch has a certain magic to it. It comes from the land, the people and the love that surrounds it. I invite you to experience this together with me.
