Dispatch from the Ranch: Writing Retreat Oct 9th-12th + New Playlist

Hello Friends,

Everyone has an interesting story to tell. Stories of winning and losing, adventure, love, injustice, or heroism. Stories of simple moments or deep understanding, told from one person's truly unique voice and perspective. Something real or something dreamed up it’s all the same, because it’s rooted in the storyteller’s humanity. There’s a simple pleasure in hearing a story, and there is also so much to be learned by connecting the dots of common experience. Stories help us see things from other perspectives, expand our knowledge, and make sense of this crazy and beautiful old world.

Do you have a story that has been gnawing at you to come to life, or one you're working on, and a desire to be in a like-minded community of writers? Then you belong here Oct 9–Oct 12 for Sarah McColl and Amy Shearn’s Red Clover Writing Retreat. Sarah is the author of the memoir Joy Enough (Red Clover makes an appearance in it), is half of the mail art project paper choir, and writes the bestselling Substack Lost Art . Amy is an award-winning author of many novels, including the most recent Animal Instinct and Dear Edna Sloane. Both are amazing writers, teachers, and all-around great humans.

Beginner or experienced writers are welcome, it’s all good in the mix. This is their fourth year, and it’s such a beautiful long fall weekend of creative sparks, belly laughs, deep conversation, and quiet moments in a supportive group setting.

Also! I made another music mix for you. A small gift to brighten your day. Hang in there and thank you for supporting Red Clover Ranch. We look forward to hosting you.

Warmly,

Head Wrangler
